Sooo! Here we are again! 1/2 way through the year, and...wait for it....I met my challenge yet again! WOOHOO!! lol Anyhoo, This month I must admit to you guys, I did slack. I didnt get my last few polishes purchased until the last minute...like today!! But I pushed it out and got-er-done!
This month features a little of everything. I have China Glaze, OPI, a LOVELY Orly Top Coat, Finger paints, which I have been drying to try, Wet n Wild, NYC, and L.A. Colors!
So enough of that stuff...lets see what I got!
This was my first time using "Finger Paints". I must say that sofar, I really do like them. I was about to get the coverage from both photos in just one coat. They weren't too thin or too thick. I'll definately add more of this brand to my collection. And at $3.99/bottle, why wouldn't I?! :)
The photo above is ""Artistic Azure" a nice blue. Cant say that I haven't see this shade of blue before, but its a nice one. And the photo below is "Gallery Glam" A really deep, deep purple that dried an almost matte finish. Both of these bottle I purchased from Sally Beauty Supply in a clearance bin for $1 each!! DEAL!! LOL
And here are my 2 new OPI purchases. These 2 colors were also purchased in a clearance bin, but for the life of me I cant remember where. But when you find OPI for $1, you GOTTA go for it! I wasnt too sure about either color by just looking at the bottles, but on the hands, they BOTH are very pretty. More...mature I think I will say. The photo above is "My Private Jet".This color is a charcoal shade of brown with gold, green and red flecks of glitter. After googling this color, I wish I had the "original" version of this color which was a highly holographic color. This one you can see itm but not so much. Im not a big fan of this color after seeing the original!
The photo below is "DS Mystery". In the bottle is looks black with gold and maybe a small amount of red flecks of glitter. But the color is actually a dark purple. After just one coat u can see the purple, but 2 coats and you get the true color of the bottle. This color was part of OPI's Fall Designer Series (hence the DS) and this color definitely yells Fall! A very nice color for a night on the town.
I posted a blog a couple weeks ago about my orange and yellow collection being small, compared to the rest of my color collection. So here are my 2 new additions to that family! And also my first China Glaze purchase that is not a crackle!

| Japenese Koi |
The photo above is "Japenese Koi". This very vibrant orange is just a beauty! I even had it on my wish list! This color is beautiful with a top coat (middle and pointer finger) or with a matte finish (pointer finger) The name got me interested to see just how true to name this color was...and wow! Check out the photo to the right!! lol NICE!
The photo below is "Solar Power". A very bright yellow with a slight iridescent feel to it. My photo is definately doing this color no justice! This is really a fun in the sun color. Screams SUMMERTIME!!
And here are our 4 pretty store-brand polishes of the month.
From left to right...
- NYC-New York Color- Prince Street: A pretty purple that dry with a shimmery finish.
- NYC-New York Color- Midtown: Reminds me of a candy paint kind of color. Lots of shimmer but no glitter. A must have for any pink lover.
- NYC-New York Color- Sidewalkers: A flat gray, but it has a very shiny finish. One of the best grays in my collection!
New York Color polishes were found at Wal-Mart for $1.47
- L.A. Colors- Shock: The color and the name are a perfect fit. This a very bright yellow polish that finishes very creamy. Coverage obtained in just 2 coats. Very good to be a Dollar Store polish!
Also...Thanks to my best friend Marci for helping me out with the swatches this month! Yes those are her fingerlings! lol *muah* chika!!
And finally..I am so excited for July's challenge! I've already purchased the polishes, and they include a very pretty Orly collection, more from Finger Paints, and China Glaze!!
Until next time KiWi babies....SMOOCHES!!!
